first body paragraph Charlie Crist

Charlie Crist appeals to ethos by showing how Obama is a caring man, a man that is fighting for his country and his people. Helping the people that needs help is his primary goal. He uses a term that was told to him by his father during his college football playing years, “it takes a cool head to win a hot game”. He explains on how our country is in the middle of a very hot game and our president always kept his head cool and figures out what play to do to win this game. Charlie explains how Obama is the type of person to help everyone, he has no favored. Crist stated that, as former republican he honored and respected Obama for his caring quality. Many has tried to stop Obama but his courage held him high. Agreeing with Obama on everything was not the case but most of his decisions were often the best. He is a man that sees future for his country.

hey name is Adrian Foster, i was born and raised in gainesville fl. Im a die hard gator fan. My major for college is nursing. Been wanting to be a nurse since like 10th grade. i dont really do to much outside of school besides work alot and do hw. Whenever i get the chance i hang out with my friend or go play some sport. in highschool i played football, basketball, and i ran track. i was pretty good at all the sports i played throughout highschool. my reason in taing this class is because it was required for me. i like to sleep and eat and just chill, maybe even work out a little whenever i have free time.

Hi everyone my name is Halle Westfall!
i graduated Forest High School last year. This is my first year in college and i am very excited. I actually was unaware i was taking a hybrid course. It is different and i really enjoy being able to blog. It is very interesting to see everyone's comments and blogs. I am from Ocala, town of the horses. It is not that large and it tends to be very slow. So gainesville is definitely a change for me with all the traffic and amount of students.       Hi everyone! My name is Savannah Merckel and I and freshmen this year. I am from the Orlando area, but I live in a little itty bitty town called Chuluota. For all the dedicated gator football fans, I went to Hagerty High school in Oviedo which is where the Florida Gators starting quarter back went to high school. My plan for the next couple of years of is to hopefully finish my AA here at Santa Fe College, and then transfer to the University of Florida.  Right now my major is in Health Sciences and I hope to get into the Occupational Therapy program there. One of my passions is football, well mainly college ball. In love every single thing about it, especially the Florida gators. I have been to almost every single home game since I was two and good amount of away games, including the National Championship game in 2009. Outside of school I love to play volleyball and babysit. I am always ready for an adventure and looking for opportunities to have some fun. I chose to take this hybrid English class to help me with my computer skills, because I don’t normally use the computer and I thought this would be a perfect chance. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!

                   Hi my name is Katesha Nobles, but most people just call me Tesha . I am 18 years old and I just graduated from North Marion High School in Ocala, Fl. This is my first semester in college and I am very excited ! My major is Nursing and I'm taking this class cause it is a required course for my AA degree. I plan to attend Santa Fe College for 2 years, then transfer to The University of Florida for my Bachelors in Nursing . I just recently moved here to Gainesville from Ocala, which is about 30 minutes away ! I live in an apartment not far from the college with 3 roommates .
                    I hope to gain more knowledge about reading and writing skills because I never really learned from all my previous teachers. I honestly never liked reading and writing unless it was on a topic that caught my attention. I want to learn to love English this semester, since it is very essential in college . I know that writing argumentative essays is a big part of this class and I'm eager to begin !
                   I enjoy things like shopping, listening to music, and just chilling with friends . I'm an extremely nice person, sometimes maybe even too nice ! I was born and raised in Florida and never really ever went out of state ! Besides Valdosta, GA, if that even counts ! I would love to travel the world and I plan on doing so after college . I'm a very shy person and rarely talk to others without them talking to me, you can say I'm not a outgoing person . But I wan't to break out of that shell one day !

Hello, my name is Adrian Andrew. I'm from Fort Myers, Florida.This is my first year at Santa Fe. My major is in business but I look foward  to getting into digital media too. Im intrested into things like music, sports and cooking. I hope to polish my writing skills beacause they arent that good. I really look foward to getting better at writing with everyone. Enc 1101 is a required course for my major so I have to take it to graduate. Maybe one day i'll love writing because right now I hate it.

Whitney Jeter introduction

Hello to all of you. I’m Whitney Jeter, but if we ever end up communicating in some sort, feel free to call me Whit. I'm 19 years old and I believe after this semester I should be classified as a sophomore. I am currently biology major. That could possibly change but I doubt it. I hope to either become an OBGYN or a pediatrician. Being a Plastic Surgeon would be nice, but I really don’t think that I have to patience for it. Just because I want to be a doctor does not mean I’m a nerd. I’m really chill and laid back and kind of a goof ball.  Later on in life I would love to start a charity that helps women over in Africa (I’ll go into better detail if you ask me). I enjoy doing a lot of things. I really don’t know what else to write about so I guess I’ll end my discussion here. I look forward to working and learning with all of you. This blog thing could be pretty cool…I guess…haha! 

Massiel Arredondo Introduction

Hey, my name is Massiel Arredondo. I was born in Dominican Republic and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. My major is nursing but my main goal is becoming a midwife. I took this class because it's required for my major. I like to just hang out with my friends and family on my free time. I'm usually busy working or doing things for my church. I basically usually have a busy schedule so whenever I do have free time I try to spend it with the people I love the most.

Hello my name is Andrew Westol, I think I'm still a freshmen. I have taken summer classes but this is my first fall semester. I am taking this class because it is one of the core classes that are required for an AA. Im not 100% sure on what my major is going to be, but i am leaning towards Psychology. I hope that this course will help increase my writing and grammar skills because they are very poor. As you can probably tell already. haha.

I recently moved into my new apartment with one of my friends, who also goes to Santa Fe. I hope to one day transfer over to UF, for location purposes.  I moved from Ocala, which is just south of Gainesville. I enjoy sports such as basketball and ultimate Frisbee. I enjoy video games such as COD and any other ones where you can shoot something haha. I plan to become more active on campus but I’m not really sure where to look. So if anyone has any tips thatd be much appreciated.

I hope that this course will help me understand English better, but most of all keep my attention.

Hello my name is Allie Turchon. I am a full time student at Santa Fe pursuing a Political Science degree. I want to transfer to a college up north but do not know which one I want to go to yet. I enjoy pop culture and anything to do with music so I think I will enjoy this class. I have lived in Gainesville for ten years and in Florida my whole life. I was homeschooled my whole life as well. Other than school I work a lot at Forever 21 and I like to hang out with my friends and go to the beach or springs. I hope to meet some new people this semester!

Sean Eccles Introduction

Well, my name is Sean Eccles and I am born and raised in Gainesville. I went to P.K. Yonge (Lifer (K-12)) and now I'm a part-time student at Santa Fe. My major is Music, I plan to get my AS degree from the Renton Technical College in Washington, I want to repair musical instruments. This leads me to your next question; when outside of school I work... A lot. Luckily I work in a music store called Great Southern Music, there I am and apprentice working on instruments. Other then that I am in a alternative band that plays several shows a month.

Honestly, the reason why I choose this type of class is because I had never taken a class like this before, also it fit my schedule very well. I traditionally don't do well in "virtual" class, but this seemed like something I could handle.

I'm excited to take this course and learn a lot!

Felicia Kelley introduction

My name is Felicia Kelley. I was born in Alabama but moved to Tennessee at the end of second grade. I moved to Florida with my parents and started my junior year. I've been an army brat since before I was born and I love my dad for defending our country. My parents are encouraging me find a job that I really want to do no matter what it is. The major I'm going for right now is in Business Administration but, I want to become an event/ wedding planning. I’m not really sure of the reason I want to become a event/wedding planner but I have a feeling that it’s something I will love.  I love to read things that are different and I also love classic stories. I also love all different types of movies and music. I like to hunt and shooting guns at a shooting range with my family. My favorite place is the beach and I want to go explore other parts of the world. I love my pets and my dog may look mean but he wouldn’t hurt a fly in less you hurt his family. My friends can be crazy but there my friends. I try and be nice to everyone even if I don’t like them.

  I am from Gainesville graduated from Buchholz in 2004.  I was recently Honorably Discharged from the army after 6 years of service. I was deployed to Afghanistan from 2009-2010. Graduated from many army schools the most notable being Ranger school and Airborne school.

  I am here at Santa Fe College because I wanted to come home and be closer to family and friends.  I am attending SFC for Networking Services Technology Associate of Science.  Most of my free time is spent on a computer playing games.  Seems like all classes are or should be considered hybrid these days.

Shelby Oesterreicher Introduction

            Hey there, my name is Shelby Oesterreicher and I am from the small town of Bartow, Florida. I spent the last year traveling the state of Florida and the nation teaching about leadership, FFA (Future Farmers of America), and agriculture as a Florida FFA State Officer. The year of service provided me the opportunity to not only travel the nation but to travel all the way to China. My family has never been heavily involved in the agricultural industry; agriculture is just something I have developed a passion for. I am majoring Agriculture at Santa Fe, but when I transfer to UF I will be majoring in Agriculture Communications and will eventually go to law school. My long term goal is to become an Agricultural Lawyer or to have a career in politics. When I am not in class I like to get involved in my community, hang out with my friends, and I love to work out. I decided to take ENC 1101 online because I am taking a total of five classes and I needed something I could work on at home more than at school. I am trying to finish my two year degree in a year and a half.

Hello my name is Matthew Viarrial. My major is Graphic design here at Santa fe. I am going for my masters degree. I am hoping to transfer to UF after i earn my associates degree at Santa Fe. I was born in Miami, but I have lived in New Mexico for most my life. I am a musician in and out. I can play drums, guitar, bass and piano. Don't quiz me on most of today's pop culture, I won't get what you are referencing. For the most part it dosn't interest me unless it is comedic or crucial/relevant to everyday life. I'm glad to be starting my life at Santa Fe and look forward to meeting everyone i can.

Hi, my name is laurent cadet. I'm originally from miami, but i also lived in haiti for a small portion of time. during the earthquake in haiti all i was seeing was a battle for food among family and friends. it showed me that food is needed to survive in this world. that pushed me into wanting to get into agriculture. i am majoring in agriculture in Santafe, then want to transfer to UF and major in agribusiness. when I'm not in class i usually stay home watch tv or hang around with some friends. i also love sports. I did not decide to go in a online class it was proposed to me by a counselor, i took the shot to try new things.

Hey, my name is Preston Dudley. I am from Raleigh, North Carolina, which is a long ways from here. My original plans were to attend UF but I didn't get it cause of my SAT scores. I am majoring in engineering here at Santa Fe, and when I switch to UF, I will be majoring in Computer Engineering. When I am out of class all i usually do it work on my own computer, help my brother, or play games. I wanted to take ENC online because i work with computers a lot so i am familiar with them and honestly i didn't want to have to find a place to part for class more than I had to.

Hello, my name is Dalton Nelson. I am from Lakewood Ranch (about 3 hours from here). My original plans were to attend USF or Georgia Tech and transfer to UF, but then I got a girlfriend and we moved here and she goes to UF. I am majoring in engineering here at Santa Fe, and when I switch to UF, I will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering. When I'm not in class I do a lot of fishing and outdoor things especially Redneck Yacht Club. I decided to take ENC online because I do a lot engineering work and graphic/web design on my computer so I figured it would be easier being my computer is already on.
