Hey
there, my name is Shelby Oesterreicher and I am from the small town of Bartow,
Florida. I spent the last year traveling the state of Florida and the nation
teaching about leadership, FFA (Future Farmers of America), and agriculture as
a Florida FFA State Officer. The year of service provided me the opportunity to
not only travel the nation but to travel all the way to China. My family has
never been heavily involved in the agricultural industry; agriculture is just
something I have developed a passion for. I am majoring Agriculture at Santa
Fe, but when I transfer to UF I will be majoring in Agriculture Communications
and will eventually go to law school. My long term goal is to become an
Agricultural Lawyer or to have a career in politics. When I am not in class I
like to get involved in my community, hang out with my friends, and I love to
work out. I decided to take ENC 1101 online because I am taking a total of five
classes and I needed something I could work on at home more than at school. I
am trying to finish my two year degree in a year and a half.
How long did you get to spend in China? I'm currently studying Chinese and my dad often had to go there for work as an engineer.
ReplyDeleteThere were about sixty of us and we spent about ten days there altogether. I do not speak any Chinese so it was pretty difficult to communicate with the people, but we had tour guides/translators everywhere we went. What type of engineering does your dad do?
