advertising images from the Stanford University index of alcohol advertisements.

The picture shows a sensual picture of a young woman holding an alcoholic beverage, possibly implying that drinking makes one attractive. The audience is to aimed at a younger population, most likely young men , possibly even minors. It may be aimed at minors possibly to show that turning 21 has benefits such alcohol and alcohol=beautiful women. It may even encourage under age drinking. The image is Pathos. It appeals to sexual and seductive emotions. Its use of a woman stripping along with alcohol ( "look at me, I'm cool cause i drink") gives men urges and wants that a picture of just a bottle of vodka could not provide.

  1. I agree with you that people may draw from this photo that drinking will make your more attractive, or that it will make you cooler. And that the target audience, of younger men, would think that if they drink the Bacardi that they will get beautiful women or that they will get something else from it. These photos are almost always tailored to the younger generation in the hopes that if they see a hot girl with a drink that either they themselves will become hot or that they will get a hot girl, obviously which they think differs with gender but still.
