Included in this post is a modern picture of the superhero Poison Ivy. Here in this particular photo she lays in a dainty pin-up position- Posing sitting up with her knees up right below her breast, which happen to be very luscious. Her feet are pointed off to the side so that her thighs are shown just enough to leave little room open to the imagination on what is down below. Her hands are placed in a dainty position which make her seem more lady like.While hair is a little wild but still in place. The sexy super hero's face could either give off the look of fierce or seductive. Overall her pose gives off the look of "sexy". And nevertheless ,What a coincidence it is that she just so happens to be giving off this sexy pose on a bed. The purpose of the pose is to show off her dainty, womanly figure while still emulating that she is tough- though tough would probably not come across your mind if you don't look into her piercing eyes. Her costume of green poison ivy is not much as it almost blends into her skin. The part that is shown in very skimpy and seems to barely cover her butt. Throughout the years, Poison Ivy has almost always been portrayed as - you know - sexy lady. In her initial appearances in the Batman comics she didn't even have a backstory, she was just a seductress. Although her character has been more developed over the years, her already skimpy outfit seems to be progressively disappearing.
ReplyDeleteWomen absolutely deserve to be a little sexy but, there is such a thing as too much skin. Poison Ivy is meant to be seductive and men need to be attracted to her in order for her character to accomplish its purpose. Technically she is not wearing any clothes in this picture. She is covered in vines. As you said these vines blend into her skin and make them almost invisible. She is almost completely naked and that in itself says something about the artist of this particular comic. I understand they are trying to attract males to read the comics but, there are better ways to accomplish gaining a mans attention other than drawing an almost naked picture of a woman.
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at this particular photo of her it comes off to me as if she's trying to get someones attention. She do not have on any clothes and she have a suit case full of money. I would say it's a seducing image. And I think her character seduces men in. Makes them feel comfortable and then kill's them. The red hair gives her a evil type of feel and in the comic book I think she is a villain. I remember this character.
