Objectification of Women in Comic Books
Women portrayed in comic books today are shown as sex symbols. Breasts and other personal features are commonly shown in suggestive fashions exposing "almost too much". They are not portrayed as muscular, but sleek a nimble with beautiful faces. As seen in many occasions, these super-women use their sexual appearance to lure people into a false sense of security through having to exhibit sensual actions (in modern adaptations at least).

Yeah Mat, i agree with you. Although i was late to the punch on picking cat woman haha. My roommate has been playing Batman Arkham City all weekend haha.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with the fact that comic book writers use this form of the female body to lure unwary fanboys into reading it.
I definitely agree with your statement. I believe they use women as a sex symbol rather than a hero like the men. Media gives the message they believe that the only people playing video games is men and to appeal to them is with revealing women.
