This picture shows a man on top of a hot young woman with
lots of money on the bed, in the suitcase, and in her hand. From this picture one could get that if you
drink you can end up in bed with a hot woman and with lots of money. The audience is probably men in general maybe
younger more than middle aged or older but most men like money and hot woman so
it could be aimed at all ages of men. Of
course that being said it could also encourage people under the age of 21 to
drink because they want the same things.
This image is obviously pathos because it appeals to sexual and
seductive emotions. The picture uses a man holding a glass of
vodka, with lots of money, and a hot girl showing if you drink alcohol you
could end up in the same position as the man in the picture. So men will most likely want to drink in
order to be just like this man. This advertisement
goes to show that if you drink all of your worries will go away and your life
will be happy and successful while you are drinking.
I agree with your perception of the advertisement. I also think that the creator of this ad wanted to appeal to the audience of people who want to become rich and successful. The advertisement makes one think that if they drink this type of alcohol they will have more money and always be happy. When in all reality alcohol is a depressant and you have to spend quite a bit of money on the product. I absolutely agree that they are trying to appeal to the younger generation of the public. What young person does not want to have tons of money, happiness, and a good looking partner?
ReplyDeleteI don’t really understand how exactly a man can make lots of money with drinking alcohol here. I can understand that how funny and entertaining men think they are, when they drink alcohol and it gives them a better chance to attract the women, but how they can get the money?! I think the creators of the ad exaggerated here, and any logical mind can understand that drinking can’t make a person rich. In fact, drinking alcohol could be a factor to be broke financially. What has been seen on alcohol advertising is focusing on the bright side of drinking which has a lesser chance of happening in reality.
ReplyDeleteHi! I understand your idea of what the image is trying to portray, but is it necessarilly realistic? I think NOT ! The advertisement of this vodka is extremely overly exaggerated. Making young men think that if they drink their brand of vodka they will be in the same position as the man in the picture. In fact alchol can become addictive and perhaps do the exact opposite as to what is potrayed in the image !
