Revised paragraph from essay 1
The Mario World franchise has been around since before the ESRB (an organization that rates games based on their content and their possible negative affect on individuals that are commercially released in the United States) was even established. Around the time this game was released there were very few games that were offensive in their content. But in the 90's there was the emergence of a new breed of video games. Games entered the 3-D world and graphics were able to depict blood, gore, and sexual content like never before. Along with this was the increase of adult language involved with games like this. Games like this have become a staple in gaming starting with Mortal Combat that is infamous for its graphic violence. Since then games like this have become market staples. These games are even included in the 'highest selling games of all time' list at an increasing rate.
