Revised Paragraph

Original Paragraph: Likewise Eva Longoria also uses Ethos in addition to Pathos as a mode of persuasion. By her being the Co-chair person of President Obama’s Re-election campaign she clearly has some political experience. She has firsthand experience working with the President and his policies. This is a great use of Ethos because she has authority and this is what the audience looks for. The credibility of Mrs. Longoria is relatively good considering her position in his re-election campaign. By her being so well known it might make her message more persuasive. Longoria uses three steps to prove her credibility to the audience. She shows that she has a wide knowledge in the topic of politics by using Logos or logic to reveal the common sense of the matter. Eva understands that hard working middle class citizens should not have to pay more taxes while the wealthy pays less. Another step used is her close association with the president of the United States. By her being the Co-chair of his re-election campaign she has a lot of credibility. The last step she uses is relating herself to Mitt Romney. She admits her wealth and realizes that she doesn't need a tax break unlike Romney.

Revised Paragraph: Likewise Eva Longoria also uses Ethos in addition to Pathos as a mode of persuasion. Eva Longoria has firsthand experience working with the President and his policies by her being the Co-chair person of his Re-election campaign. This is an excellent use of Ethos because she is using her authority to sway the audience. During her speech, Eva Longoria uses three persuasive steps to prove her credibility to the crowd. First she shows that she has a wide knowledge in the topic of politics by using Logos or logic to reveal the common sense of the matter. Mrs. Longoria shows that she understands the needs of the hard working middle class because they keep this economy going. She acknowledges that middle class citizens should not have to pay more taxes while the wealthy pays less. The second step or method of persuasion she uses is her close association with the President of the United States. By him being the Commander and Chief and her being the Co-chair of his re-election campaign she has a lot of credibility. The third and final method she uses to convince the audience is by relating herself to Governor Romney, Presidential candidate. She admits her wealth and realizes that she doesn't need a tax break unlike Governor Mitt Romney.

*I revised my essay by re-reading it several times and correcting some mistakes I may have made the first time. I also added and took away different things to help the flow of my paragraph.*
