structuring a proposal argument

For my first semester at Santa Fe I noticed that every time I have to go to class that I have to leave my house an hour early just to find parking. I noticed that finding parking is an on going problem that has not been resolved yet, but can be resolved. The problem is that it is an increase of students at Santa Fe Community College so in order to deal with the parking they should add more parking lots or build a parking garage. The benefits of adding a parking garage is that it would be close to classes and you wont have to walk ten minutes just to get to class. It would also be a greater variety of different spaces near your class. Overall I feel that greater parking at Santa Fe would mean greater education, because students can get to class on time and not be late because of parking.

  1. I think you did a great job on this mini problem solving essay. The only thing I noticed was that you did not include any possible objectives to the solution you proposed. This may make the reader question if you have looked at the situation from other perspectives. I think your solution is great but you could have added a little more detail; it would have also increased your word count as well. The only problems I found can be easily fixed and would take this problem solving paragraph over the roof. I think you did a great job!

  2. I also think you did a great job on addressing the issue and a solution. But one thing I haven't seen people address is what would happen if the new parking garage was built over a current parking lot. This means for a time parking would be even harder than usual for at least a few months.
