Criteria for Review: Borat

My formal analysis will have a lot to do with the not only the main character but also how successful they are on getting autghentic comedic reactions. Another I will analyze is the effective acting. Sacha Baron Cohen is completely convincing and fearless in his acting. He is not afraid to go too far in his role and many times get a hilarious reaction from this experiment.  Borat is a comedic social experiment that is meant to test risque and obscene humor on an unknowing population. The American stereotype of the middle east is a common subject of many jokes and criticisms. But what happens when somebody embodies all these stereotypes and one is faces with dealing with this person? This will be be the main factor of my analysis.

  1. When I think about Borat the first thing that comes to my mind is being different .Borat’s comedy is kind of eliminated to American nationality. I mean as a viewer, you should live in the U.S and be familiar with certain things in order to enjoy the movie completely. I am agreeing with you that there is a lot to talk about Borate’s character. I really like to read your review afterward

  3. I definitely agree. This is a great choice of criteria. I love that you are gonna take what happens and analyze how society reacts to this movie. It is a giant stereotype of the foreign people and America did react crazy to this movie. I enjoy your way of thinking.
