Week 8: Exercise 14.8
I believe that the Harry Potter books do deserve their popularity. Because of these books a lot of kids began reading and these books are not that easy to read. I believe that these books opened up a lot of kids’ imagination. A lot of kids happened to like reading for fun now because of these books. I know when I was a little girl, my school would always try to encourage us to read at home for fun not just because it was a homework assignment and when the first Harry Potter book came out it was everywhere. I read the first Harry Potter book and it literally took me to a whole new world and because of that I know love to read all kinds of books. Harry Potter has become so popular to kids that they made different versions of it and translated it in different languages. I give credit to J.K. Rowling for writing these books with a lot of imagination. It takes kids to a different world like it did for me when I was a little girl. I love the fact that kids read for fun now just because of Harry Potter and realized that books are actually fun. So yes I do believe that the Harry Potter books deserve their popularity completely.

I am totally agreed with you that Harry Potter books deserve their popularity. The experience that you mentioned about you and the first book happened to me in the exact same ways. I was the first and youngest person in our family who read the Harry Potter books. After that, when my older siblings saw my passion for books, they started to read them too, and they loved the books as I did. I like the fact that lots of people in variety of ages adore Harry Potter books. It gives them something in common to talk about and share the experiences that they had through reading the books.
ReplyDeleteI completely agreed with you. J.K. Rowling is a wonderful author who endlessly deserves all the credit she receives for the wonderful work she's done.
