Week 8: Exercise 14.8

The Harry Potter books are the benchmark for children when it comes to reading their first extensive novel. The books are massive which students see as a challenge to finish them. This stimulates them to read and goes hand in hand with schools, education, and literacy. I believe that J.K Rowling deserves the success that these books have brought. These books tell an easy to read tale that children fall in love with which helps them get submerged in their reading. This books success should be seen as it is read all around the world. There are multiple languages this is wrote in with millions of copies sold. The movies are held to the same success as well. Because the audience has read the same book that has came out, they are attracted to seeing the movie because it visually paints a picture of the plot that they've read years ago. I have read the first 5 Harry Potter books and was not disappointed. The challenge of actually finishing these massive books for the AR points they brought made them fun and rewarding to read. Parents have also fallen in love with the books as they read them alongside their children.

  1. I agree with what you said. Your right that the books are a benchmark in books children read. I read the Harry Potter books to and love how J.K. Rowling tells the story. She knows how to keep a readers attention on what shes saying. Its a love story but also an adventure. She made it where both boys and girls would like the story.

  2. Good job at creating your own words. When I was writing I needed the temp to help me out but I'm starting to get a understanding of what I need to be doing. I like the way you created new words.
