DQ 8 Response to Excercise 14.8

The first Harry Potter Book was released in 1997, the books received immense popularity worldwide. Many people were captured by the mysterious nature of witch craft, they found it very intriguing. As of June 2011 the books have sold around 450 million copies, making it the best selling book series in history. Even with the immense popularity of the series some people have criticized the series claiming that it isn't suitable for children and they would not be able to grasp the complex nature of the plot. Others believe that the series is breath taking with its magical wizarding world of mystery. By looking at all the criteria that a successful book series must meet, I can conclude that the Harry Potter series deserves it's popularity.
