DQ Week 5
The video I watched was of Michelle Obama's speech. In her speech there were few signs of fallacies. Her speech was made up of telling her and her husband's life story. What made her speech sound disruptive was her use of her life experiences to bring sympathy to her cause. By explaining her and her husband's hardships she sought to bring an emotional and sympathetic reaction to her audience. Michelle aimed her speech towards women and the middle working class. The video itself uses images of people close to tears to also persuade audiences at home. Michelle also brought up her care for her children many times in the span of her speech. She uses her children as an analogy of the husband's and her care for the United States. Protective and caring parents is how they try to compare themselves to the Presidency. Michelle indirectly compares Obama to the caring father of the nation.

I definitely notcied how she tried to relate to the audience. She uses sympathy and women to try and act as if they are in the same shoes. The images of people crying are calling for the viewers attention and they bring emotion to the audience.
