Essay Two Outline

Thesis statement:

Scarlett Johansson

Tries to use logic to appeal to the youth of the nation. She uses pathos to convey that she has been through what the youth of to day is going through. Go out and vote.

Topic One: She talks about her youth and how it affected her growing up.

Topic Two: How being in Hollywood shouldn’t affect your voting choice. Or how she doesn’t represent celebrities. She is determined to get people to vote.

Example 1: She explains she doesn’t particularly care who you vote for.

Explain: She really just wants the youth to go out and vote, because less than half of a certain age group did not vote in the last election.

Example 2: Hollywood shouldn’t affect your vote

Explain: Scarlett states that she is not a representative, just a person voting.

Conclusion: The speech was a little to short but still has a big idea around it. Go out and vote is the main idea here.
