Week 5: Rhetorical Analysis/Logical Fallacies

I reviewed the video of Ann Romney, she like Michelle Obama used sympathy to persuade the audience she could relate to the middle class and women. You can definitely notice that she is trying to reach out to the audience and use it to her benefit. In the beginning of her speech she starts it by saying she is not their to talk about politics but talk about family and love. Being the competitor's wife of the current President it is obvious she is trying to win over the audience, whether she admits it or not. It is very obvious to the viewer because of her way to tell the audience of how she fell in love with her husband Mitt and every struggle they have been through. It grabs the reader's attention and makes them feel sympathetic for her and willing to hear her it. It makes me feel less sympathetic because i can tell she really is doing it for the audience support rather than everyone just coming together.

  2. I think you did a good job at catching her point on the video. I feel you could have added a little more detail about some of the actual things she talked about though but hey we are all still learning. I have a hard time coming up with things too. I guess thats why we are all here to help each other on what we lack.
