1. What is the essays thesis? restate it in you own words - "the poor in aggregate provide a juicy target for anyone depraved enough to make a business of stealing from them." In my own words, the poor is an essay target when it comes to stealing money.
2. I think she places the thesis where she does to draw the reader in. She begins with a made up scenario and places her thesis right after to capture the readers attention
3.She uses evidence such as statistics. She also uses examples of how the government has had people arrested for not being able to pay certain fees
4. The author uses specific examples and laws, statistics to make the inductive leap to her conclusion.I think that she included enough evidence. I believe that she could have brought in the other sides argument to the situation a bit more.
5. I believe that her argument is strong despite her lack of bringing in the other sides argument. She does make a good pint with the evidence she does decide to use.
I chose this set of questions because it fit the article more which made the questions more clear because of it.
