Template for Rhetorical Analysis of "when all else fails, rob the poor"
Barbara Ehrenreich begins her article by saying is to rob the poor in ways they wouldn't know. The problem she identifies is that the government is slowing robbing the poor in every way we know. By fines, fees and taxes. Her purpose to this article is to tell people we should stop doing these things to the poor. It is only hurting them and not helping us. She shows an example of a homeless lady being locked up for not being able to pay a fine for her sons expenses. She expected her next coming pay check to pay for her son's debt. However it went straight to her ongoing incarceration. She also adds how once being condemned a criminal all other previous assets to your name shall be lost. She argues no one should be squeezed for money when they have no way of getting their hands on it.
I agree with her argument. I also believe that her argument could have been constructed much better than it was. She lacked examples and valid facts and this does in fact strike as interesting because she is a writer, so I am sure that she knows what it takes to make a good solid argument
