juice thesis outline

Thesis: The image from the cover of the film Juice portrays that power and respect can only be gained through using a form of anger, violence, or a weapon.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->I.               <!--[endif]-->Visual Aspects: The image shows a form of anger through characters facial expression.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->a.     <!--[endif]-->Bishop is glancing back at three other guys like he is willing to do anything to get power or respect even harm them.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->b.     <!--[endif]-->The other three characters facial expression shows fear and anger.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->II.             <!--[endif]-->Arguments: The intent of this movie cover is to show that power and respect can be obtained through violence.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->a.     <!--[endif]-->Bishop is in the front holding a gun.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->b.     <!--[endif]-->On the cover it says, “How far will you go to get it?” asking what will you do to get power and respect.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->III.           <!--[endif]-->Audience & Purpose: The audience will probably be young African Americans
<!--[if !supportLists]-->a.     <!--[endif]-->Everyone on the cover is young African American men.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->b.     <!--[endif]-->The purpose of this might show how some black men may feel they can get power and respect in some subcultures in society.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->IV.            <!--[endif]-->Appeals: This movie cover probably appeals to pathos and ethos.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->a.     <!--[endif]-->This is ethos because Tupac Shakur was a popular rapper at this time.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->b.     <!--[endif]-->This is also ethos because it has a dark, sad feel to the picture.
